Summer of Play at Erddig
Experience a summer of fun at Erddig with family-friendly activities inspired by the playful garden adventures of Philip and Simon, the last squires.
- Booking not needed
- Free event (admission applies)
This summer, we’re celebrating the playful childhoods of Philip and Simon, the last squires of Erddig, with a series of family-friendly activities inspired by their garden adventures. Dress up and take to the lawn to put on a performance, just as they once did. Afterwards, enjoy a selection of traditional garden games, including large dominoes, skittles, and badminton. It’s a wonderful opportunity to step back in time and experience the garden through the playful eyes of the children who once called Erddig home.
On Mondays, get creative and design your own postcards, inspired by a perfect summer’s day out at Erddig. Back this summer is our much-loved Fine Art Fridays, where you can take inspiration from Erddig’s beautiful gardens to create your own masterpiece on the lawn. And don’t miss Storytelling Wednesdays with Jake, filled with fun and imaginative tales for all ages.
Normal admission charges apply. National Trust members and under 5s enter for free. Summer of Play is sponsored by Starling Bank.
