Make a flower brick vase at this full day pottery workshop suitable for beginners.

In this full day workshop you will learn how to hand build a flower brick vase out of earthenware clay using a soft slab technique. You’ll then head into Stourhead for inspiration before decorating your work using coloured slips and the sgraffito technique. The workshop instructors will take away your creations for glazing and firing, before returning it to Stourhead for you to collect at a later date.
You’ll be using a terracotta clay. Bring an apron or wear clothes you do not mind getting mucky.
There will be a 30-minute lunch break. You're welcome to bring lunch with you, or head to the National Trust restaurant, Temple of Refreshment or Spread Eagle Inn for lunch.
The workshop takes place at the Memorial Hall in the Spread Eagle courtyard.
