- Booking not needed
- Free event (admission applies)
We're bringing the bloom into the manor house this spring. Discover handcrafted paper blossom displays in the manor house and learn more about the orchard folklore with an information trail through the house. We have also got several activities to celebrate the arrival of spring...
Traditional teas and remedies Tuesday 23rd April 11-4PM To celebrate the arrival of spring, Mrs Dennet will be using foraged flowers to brew up a storm in the Manor House. Watch the tea-making process, smell and guess the ingredients and learn about the supposed health benefits of different traditional brews.
Trow community sail design Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th April 11-4PM Feeling arty? Help us mark the Festival of Blossom by getting involved with our community trow sail design. Your art will be hauled up high for all to see as part of our project to personalise our iconic trow boat.
Oak Leaf mask making Wednesday 1st May 11-4PM and Monday 6th May 11-4Pm Ancient tradition talks of two kings of the natural world, the Holly King (winter) and the Oak King (summer) who battle every year at the change of the seasons. Help us welcome in the warmer summer and say goodbye to the winter by making your own Oak King mask in the Kitchen at Brockhampton Manor House.
Blossom is also being celebrated in the orchards and with several festival days, supported by our partnership with Salt Road. Head back to the events page to find out more about these events.
