Oak leaf mask making
Celebrate May Day with a mask making craft activity in the manor house kitchen
- Booking not needed
- Free event (admission applies)
On Wednesday 1 and Monday 6 May, celebrate the changing seasons with a children's craft activity in the manor house.
The Oak King and Holly King are well-know figures in ancient Celtic folklore, and it is said that their endless battle is what causes the changing seasons. It is thought that the spring equinox is when the Oak King triumphs over the Holly King, who will rule until the winter returns.
Make your own oak leaf mask using the materials provided. This activity will be running from 11am to 3pm both day and is free to take part in.
