Between 3 to 22 November we are opening the house for guided tours only, offering a chance to explore the second floor, home to much of our collection but once the home to servants and Nun’s; a closer look at Robert Adam, the genius designer and architect creator of the house, follies and highly significant bookcases or the backbone of the house, the Basement.
Croome’s behind the scenes tours this November
Join us for a glimpse of Croome on one of the behind-the-scenes tours. Each tour is approximately 45 minutes.
Booking information
All tours are subject the availability of volunteers to run them.
Due to limited numbers, please book at Visitor Reception on the day.
Each tour has a capacity of 25 per tour, apart from the second-floor tour which has a capacity of 8 people due to narrow passages and rooms.
An Introductory House tour is available every day at 11am and 12:30pm.
Behind-the-scenes tours are at 12pm and 1:30pm – details are below:

Good to know

Access: whilst there is access into the house via the stairclimber (there is a weight limit of 230kg chair and occupant combined) the tours will venture onto other floors.

Facilities: nearest toilets are in the basement or there is an accessible toilet on the south lawn at the back of the house.

Limited spaces: each tour has a capacity of 25 per tour, apart from the second-floor tour which has a capacity of 8 people due to narrow passages and rooms.

Admission: standard house and grounds admission charges apply for non-members

Arrival time: please arrive 15mins before your tour time.

No dogs or other animals allowed in the house unless they are Assistance animals.

You will be directed to the meeting point on entry to the house.
