Whether you're an archaeological amateur, a history enthusiast, visiting as a family or simply curious, join us at Greyfriars for our first Festival of Archaeology between Tuesday 21 July and Saturday 25 July.

From discovering archaeological features on a spotting sheet, trying your hand at sand tray archaeology, or chatting with our volunteer team as they open test pits in the garden and share their latest finds, there’s plenty to see, discover, and explore!

Suitability

This event is suitable for all ages.

Accessibility

No onsite parking. Uneven surfaces throughout. No accessible toilet on site. No step free free access to ground floor of the house, ramp available on request to access the Café. There are steps down from the terrace to access the garden.
