Featuring works by Beethoven, Dvořák, Fauré, Parry, Purcell and Schumann—composers whose craftsmanship, lyricism, and harmonic imagination Elgar greatly admired—the programme offers a fascinating window into the influences that resonated deeply with him throughout his life.
