End of exhibition performance
Head to the hall for a unique musical celebration
- Booking not needed
- Free event (admission applies)
For the closing event of the Whispers of the Wilderness exhibition, sound artist and cellist Gaia Blandina joins The Assembled, an experimental instrumental ensemble from the University of York, for a live performance in the hall.
The performance is inspired by Gaia Blandina’s soundscape Gyre, created for the exhibition, the gardens, and the repeating patterns in Laura Ellen Bacon’s willow sculptures.
Be immersed in the ever-changing composition as you enjoy your visit to the hall or grab a window seat and listen to the musicians building up sounds through movement, repetition, and improvisation.
