Pond dipping

Come and see which creepy crawlies wiggle out of the pondweed at Brimham Rocks.

Have you ever visited the pond at Brimham Rocks? Do you know what minibeasts might live there? Come and find out which creepy crawlies wiggle from pondweed on this pond dipping activity!

Meet the rangers at the pond to take part in this activity. All equipment and identification cards will be will be provided.

There are two sessions running throughout the day, 10:30am-12:30pm and 1-3pm. This is a free event. Little ones (and grown ups) welcome.

Why not enjoy an ice cream in from the refreshment kiosk or relax at a shady picnic spot amongst the rocks? Put your sun hat on and come and make the most of being outdoors this May half term.

The basics

Meeting point

Meet at the pond. Follow the signs from the car park or ask a member of the Welcome Team for directions.

What to bring and wear

We're an outdoor site so please dress appropriately for the weather and wear sturdy footwear. You won't be going into the water.

Accessibility

We are an outdoor site with a mixture of hard standing paths and more rugged terrain. The paths to the pond are woodchipped.

Other

This is a free event and there is no need to book. Normal car parking charges apply. National Trust members please scan your membership cards.
