Join the award-winning puppetry and theatre company, Smoking Apples for two separate performances around buzzing bees and struggling streams.

Wednesday 23 July - 'Buzz'

Join Billy Bumble as he shrinks down to bee-size and learns about the troubles that they face. This performance finishes with the audience being given wildflower seeds, to plant and help our black and yellow friends to flourish. There are two performances at 11am and 2pm both lasting 1 hour. A craft workshop follows after the first performance at 12pm.

Wednesday 20 August - 'Upstream'

Join Lyra as she camps out under the stars next to the river in the hope of discovering why things don't seem quite right. There are two performances at 11am and 2pm both lasting 1 hour. A craft workshop follows after the first performance at 12pm.

The basics

Suitability

Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Meeting point

Head to the Performance Zone on the ball games field, just 2 minutes from the visitor centre.

What to bring and wear

Please dress appropriately for the weather and wear sturdy shoes.

Accessibility

There is level access and hard standing paths to the ball games field. The grass on the field is cut short but could be difficult to navigate if very wet.
