Pick up a takeaway drink or a light bite to enjoy on the terrace at Goddards or on your garden walk and peruse the second-hand book shelves.

What to expect on your visit

The tea-room is takeaway only, with a few tables, chairs and service in crockery available on the terrace. Alternatively there are several benches around the garden for a takeaway.

The daily selection varies, depending on availability. Typically you can expect...

  • Home-made scones, cakes and bakes including a chocolate orange inspired option
  • Soup, wedges, sausage rolls
  • Toasties and sandwiches
  • Ice-cream
  • Hot and cold drinks

Please note: we are only able to accept card payments.

All indoor areas are closed in the house, except admissions, second-hand book room and the toilet.

Remember your reuseable cup

You are more than welcome to bring your own reusable cup – you'll get 25p off your hot drink as a thank you.
