Join in with the UK's biggest annual celebration of archaeology and discover more about the secrets that lie beneath your feet, with events for all ages at Wentworth Castle Gardens.
On 18 July, National Trust Archaeologist Mark Newman will be joining us for the day to run two guided walks, each exploring different areas of the garden. Mark will also host a drop-in session between walks, allowing you to explore the latest in LiDAR technology.
Whether you come for all or part of the day, you will discover just how much of the Georgian splendour of Wentworth Castle lies hidden beneath the surface.
FOR FAMILIES: Between 15 & 19 July, mini-archaeologists can enjoy a dig in our sand play pits (weather dependent). Look out for archaeology-themed colouring and activity sheets in the Café Reading Room.
This event is part of the Festival of Archaeology, the UK’s biggest annual celebration of archaeology, organised by the Council for British Archaeology.
