Join our team to learn about the different species of bats that call Wentworth Castle Gardens home. There will be an opportunity to have a go with a bat detector and discover more about these fascinating creatures.
There will be a 30-40 minute talk before heading off on the walk at sunset so this event is best suited to older children and adults.
Please note for this evening event you will use the Northern College visitor carpark, postcode S75 3ES, where we will meet you and guide you to the conservatory. Our main National Trust visitor carpark will be locked at 5pm.

The route will be within the gardens from the Conservatory up towards Stainborough castle. Please visit our Accessibility web page for more information.
- Meeting point
You will use the Northern College carpark, S75 3ES, where we will meet you and guide you to the conservatory. There will be a 30-40 minute talk and chance to use the toilets before the walk.
- What to bring and wear
The talk will be indoors and walk will commence at sunset so dress according to the evening weather. Wear suitable footwear for walking in the gardens.
