Are you ready for a fun-filled Summer of Play?

This year, we’re celebrating play in all its forms with experiences and activities to spark your imagination and inspire adventure. Whether you’re exploring nature, getting active or stepping into the spotlight for a playful moment of performance, there’s something for everyone.

Play your way through the whole summer holidays with different play zones to discover, and a calendar of pop-up activities, bring along the family for a summer jam-packed with ways to play. Bring your picnic and play all day or call in at our café for a tasty treat to fuel your adventures.

We'll have an array of active outdoor games on the play field or let feet run wild in our nature play wilderness space. In the Union Jack Gardens get digging like a mini gardener or take a break from the noise and the sun with sensory play and quiet games. Up at the magical setting of Stainborough Castle, become a storyteller and weave a tale of knights and dragons. Where will your imagination take you?

Prefer to visit at a quieter time? Why not arrive after 2pm, the gardens and parkland are open until 5pm every day, giving you plenty of time to play!

We will have pop-up activities on selected days throughout the summer, including family favourites like teddy zip line and archery, with more details coming soon.
