Volunteer Weekend House Host
If you have spare time on the weekend, or wish to enhance your work experience with something different, then join us in welcoming visitors and ensuring they enjoy the House and Collection. The role requires approachability, excellent timekeeping, dedicatio to offering a great visitor experience through friendly and well-informed communication and good teamwork. Full training and materials will be provided.
Days required: Saturday or Sunday, ideally weekly or fortnightly
Volunteer Conservation Raffle Ticket Seller
Providing visitors with a positive and enjoyable experience is of great importance for us and selling National Trust raffle tickets is a valuable form of additional property income for Waddesdon Manor. We are looking for welcoming and outgoing volunteers to approach as many visitors as possible in a courteous and friendly way to sell raffle tickets to raise money for the National Trust and Waddesdon. All the money you raise will be matched pound for pound by money from the National Trust headquarters.
You will be a vital part of the visitor experience at Waddesdon and perform an important role conversing with visitors about their day and answering questions about the catering and retail facilities as well as future and current events, the location of the toilets and cloakroom and many other interesting questions about the House and Grounds.
Education assistants help with running our education programmes for children. They also help prepare and participate in our family events held throughout the year.
Aviary volunteers contribute to the care of endangered bird species through feeding, cleaning, habitat maintenance and project work. An interest in wildlife, reliability and a willingness to engage with conservation aims through varied tasks will be assets in this role.
Days required: Fridays, Sundays or Tuesdays 8am-12pm

Statue cleaning volunteer
Help in the conservation of Waddesdon's outdoor collection: this outdoor role will involve using National Trust conservation and cleaning techniques to help prepare and care of Waddesdon's statues during its open season, as well as responding to visitor interest in day-to-day conservation activities.
Retail volunteer, gift shop & wine shop
Our retail volunteers use their excellent customer service skills to ensure our visitors get the most out of their shopping experience. You will also assist with stock management and general housekeeping duties in order to keep shops immaculate.
Days required: Thursday 12pm-4.30pm
Image Library volunteer
Our Image Library contains thousands of images relating to Waddesdon and its Collection. We are looking for a volunteer who can help support the library researching the photographic collection. With excellent IT skills and an enthusiasm for research, you would be at home in an office based role.
Days required: one day a week Wed-Fri
