Without volunteers we would not be able to offer such a wide range of visitor services throughout the property. We have fun family days, food festivals, guided garden walks and art exhibitions in addition to the beautiful House and grounds.

We have volunteer opportunities in many of our departments including the House, Gardens, Aviary, Education, Fundraising and Retail. If you are considering giving some of your time and volunteering, whether you a few hours a week or a month, we'd love to hear from you.

Volunteer Wigwam Host - Waddesdon Manor
Christmas is a spectacular time at Waddesdon with wonderful decorations and light installations both inside the house and around the grounds. We are looking for welcoming and enthusiastic volunteers to join our team to assist and support our catering operation at the spectacular Wigwam tent restaurant which is built especially for our Halloween and Christmas seasons. You will meet and greet visitors, helping them to their seats, answering their questions and ensuring that the area is kept immaculate. No experience is necessary - just a willingness to enter into the Christmas spirit. Full training and materials will be provided for you and you'll become part of an enthusiastic and friendly team.

Volunteer House Host - Waddesdon Manor
We are looking for some friendly volunteers to join us in the role of House Host at Waddesdon. This is an important role within Waddesdon as you will be part of the vital group of volunteers based along the route inside the House, ensuring visitors receive a warm welcome whilst keeping an eye on the collection. You will engage with visitors, answering their questions and helping them to enjoy their visit. Full training and materials will be provided for you and you will become part of an enthusiastic and friendly team. 

So if you enjoy working and meeting people, are positive and confident when dealing with visitors, and have some time to give, why not consider volunteering as a House Host.

Volunteer Welcome Host – Waddesdon Manor
This is an important role within Waddesdon as you will be one of the visible information points for the majority of our visitors, welcoming and greeting them to Waddesdon and passing on important visitor information. As part of an enthusiastic and friendly team, you will be doing something very worthwhile by introducing visitors to the House and Grounds, ensuring our visitors feel both welcome and well informed. You will help visitors plan their day by providing information and answering any questions about the facilities, events and activities available at Waddesdon that day.

So if you enjoy working and meeting people, are positive and confident when dealing with visitors, and have some time to give, why not consider volunteering as a House Host.

Volunteer Conservation Raffle Ticket Seller – Waddesdon Manor
Providing visitors with a positive and enjoyable experience is of great importance for us and selling National Trust raffle tickets is a valuable form of additional property income for Waddesdon Manor. We are looking for welcoming and outgoing volunteers to approach as many visitors as possible in a courteous and friendly way to sell raffle tickets to raise money for the National Trust and Waddesdon. All the money you raise will be matched pound for pound by money from the National Trust headquarters.

You will be a vital part of the visitor experience at Waddesdon and perform an important role conversing with visitors about their day and answering questions about the catering and retail facilities as well as future and current events, the location of the toilets and cloakroom and many other interesting questions about the House and Grounds.
