Wrap up warm for Christmas outdoors

Your hats and scarves are on, your cheeks are rosy red, and you see can see your breath; it must be time to explore what Christmas outdoors is all about at Wallington this year. Spot the reindeer resting in the north woods, getting ready for the big day. The courtyard Christmas tree is back for those all-important photo opportunities and don’t forget your oohs and aahs for the thousands of twinkling icicle lights hanging around the courtyard. Outside the House there’s a new arrival pulling the sleigh too, don’t worry, you can’t miss him. And this year, a winter trail awaits you in the West woods where you’ll meet Percy the Park Keeper for an outdoor adventure.

Step inside for festive fun

Is it time to defrost? Let the sounds of laughter and music welcome you through the front door of the House where the festivities are waiting. Mrs Christmas is back with her sparkly shoes and piles of books; live music greets you in the central hall and family Christmas crafts can be found in the Servants’ Parlour and the big man himself will be popping in so be ready to give him the biggest wave if you spot him.

This year, for the very first time the House will be open between Christmas and New Year too and will still be dressed in all its festive glitz and glamour. If you’re heading to Wallington for some post-Christmas fresh air and a good walk, stop by the House too, the team would love to see you.
