What is the bunkhouse?
The bunkhouse is a converted granary at the heart of Wallington that now provides overnight accommodation for groups of up to 20 people. It offers simple, self-catering, accommodation overlooking the main central courtyard at Wallington, combining the tranquility of a rural setting with access to our wonderful gardens, woodland walks, impressive house, cosy cafe and gift shop.
During your stay, you'll have free access to our extensive estate until dusk, along with the opportunity to enjoy the walled garden and house during opening times.
The bunkhouse caters for groups in comfortable, dormitory-style, accommodation and sleeps up to 20 people in bunkbeds.
There is one bedroom, sleeping eight people, on the ground floor, with an adjoining 'leader's room', sleeping two people, and a shower room, with two showers, two sinks and two toilets. A second shower room is also on the ground floor along with a boot/drying room.
Upstairs (reached via an internal stone staircase) there is a large central room for eating and relaxing. Off of this main room is a well-equipped kitchen, with a cooker, microwave and fridge/freezer, a further bedroom, sleeping eight people, and a second 'leader's room', sleeping two people.
