Stay in the house built by Victorian inventor, Lord Armstrong, on the Cragside estate. This uniquely designed cottage sits in the formal gardens of the estate where views extend over the Italian Terrace to the Coquet Valley and Simonside Hills beyond. Inside a homely space awaits, where original features and classic décor embellish the rooms.

As a guest you’ll have free access to the Cragside gardens, house and woodlands. You’ll also have the shops, pubs and tea rooms of traditional Northumbrian village, Rothbury, nearby too.

Further afield, the Northumberland Coast AONB can be reached within a 35-minute drive. Be sure to visit Embleton Bay, a vast sandy beach with the ruins of Dunstanburgh Castle providing the backdrop.
