Our conservation work on Wenlock Edge happens all year round. A team of dedicated staff and volunteers ensure the woodland, meadows and wildlife are well looked after.

Nibbled Nut Project

In October 2015, we launched a project to monitor signs of dormice feeding on Wenlock Edge. The signs in question are nuts nibbled in a characteristic way. We aim to survey all of the National Trust's holdings on Wenlock Edge owned by the National Trust, over a period of several years and on several occasions between September and December each year.
