In 2016 Michael Marriott's 'Ernö' was display at Ernö Goldfinger's former home, 2 Willow Road as part of an installation and product launch.
Taking inspiration from Goldfinger’s own working methods, Marriott’s work explored the influence of objects, and the way they are constructed, on our daily lives.
'Ernö' is a plastic, wall-mounted hook inspired by the fluidity of form in Goldfinger’s work. It demonstrates Marriott’s fasincation with the manipulation of materials into objects and is his first ever injection-moulded object manufactured from Zytel.
The exhibition also included a short film about the hook's design process.
A limited edition of hooks in a specially produced 'Willow Road' red were available to purchase at the house, with all proceeds going to 2 Willow Road's contemporary artists' residency programme.
