The Book Barn

second hand books ranged on shelving

The Book Barn at Barrington Court is open Wednesday - Sunday, 11am-3pm. You'll find the Book Barn in the old milking parlour near reception.

Brimming with pre-loved bargains

With everything from bestsellers and children's fiction to books about art, history, travel and cookery, browse the shelves and get lost in the stories. You'll be sure to find something to take home with you.

A small but dedicated team of volunteers run the book barn at Barrington Court. They work hard sorting through all the books given by generous visitors to ensure the shelves are continually stocked.

We’d like to say a huge thank you to all who have helped raise funds through the book barn. Last year with your support, either through donating books or purchasing them, more than £26,000 was raised.

All funds go towards vital conservation work at Barrington Court, to ensure it remains available for future generations. All donations by card payment and don't forget your facemask.

We are delighted to receive your book donations, but our quarantine procedures mean we cannot take books without an appointment. Please email barringtoncourt@nationaltrust.org.uk and we will be in touch to arrange a time to receive your donation.
