The woodland, heaths and meadows around Haslemere are home to an exceptional number of wildlife. Much of this goes unseen as we pursue our daily lives, but the wonderful variety of life all around us can be appreciated by knowing where and when to look.

Founded in 1888, Haslemere Natural History Society provides a focus for nature enthusiasts of all ages.  The society provides opportunities to discover and learn about the local wildlife heritage by organising Field trips and Indoor meetings led by friendly specialists. The society's enthusiasms are broadly based ensuring all tastes are catered for.
