This article is destined to become a blog by our conservation team at the castle to let readers know of the many castle artefacts that have been rescued from storage in the towers.

Take a journey through our artefacts

For years Bodiam's numerous artefacts have been locked away in the towers of the castle. The towers do not have the necessary conservation controls in place to ensure that the artefacts are kept in the best possible condition and so we have removed them to an appropriately controlled and secure location whilst our conservation team take a closer look at them.

Their journey started in August 2017 and will continue over many months and years as we rediscover some of the pieces of Bodiam's story that have been hidden away.

As we progress through this process, our conservation team hope to be able to tell our visitors what we've discovered and how we are caring for these precious items.
