Places to stay in Branscombe

There are a number of places to stay in and around Branscombe, a charming National Trust village on the eastern fringe of the Devon coast.

Forge Cottage

Forge Cottage is a National Trust holiday let right in the heart of the village. It is a traditional and beautiful thatched cottage. You will be able to soak up the atmosphere of the village with its old pubs, blacksmith and shop. Enjoy some magnificent walks on your doorstep, along the coast path or inland through the wooded valleys.

Great Seaside bed and breakfast

This 16th-century National Trust farmhouse is situated only 200 yards from Branscombe beach and overlooks Lyme Bay. Surrounded by over 400 acres of National Trust land, the farm offers a charming, peaceful retreat with high quality facilities.

Dunscombe Manor cottages

Dunscombe Manor rests in a sheltered wooded combe not far from the seaside town of Sidmouth. Full of history, the farmhouse dates back to before the 16th century. The barn, stable and dairy have been converted into three self catering holiday cottages. Wake up every morning to enjoy wonderful views over Lyme Bay and the world famous Jurassic Coast.

Sea Shanty holidays

The caravan park which also offers lodges is located in shelter of the cliffs above the beach at Branscombe. Wonderful for a traditional family beach holiday or a base to explore the beautiful East Devon coastline and surrounding villages.

Berry Barton caravan park

Berry Barton enjoys a sheltered position on the edge of Branscombe. It is a 300 acre dairy farm, with its land stretching along the cliffs to include over a mile of coastline.

A dairy herd, Shetland ponies and other farm animals graze on the fields that surround the caravan park. Family run, visitors can watch the day-to-day activities of the farm whilst at the same time enjoying the lovely rural setting.
