Spring Tide food festival
The Spring Tide food festival is an annual celebration of Dorset's finest local produce held at Hive Beach, Burton Bradstock on a weekend in May.
If you haven't already discovered the delights of Spring Tide, it's a family-friendly festival with a brilliant atmosphere, entertainment for all ages and a spectacular setting on the Jurassic Coast. It is also a paradise for food lovers, with an array of the finest local produce available to try and buy.
This is the tenth year of the festival, and it continues to stay true to its roots, with a strong community emphasis and the opportunity to discover and meet local food producers.
" It's so good to see this festival going from strength to strength and continuing to attract such high quality food and drink producers from the local area."
The next one
The festival returns for its ninth year on 18 and 19 May 2019. Sarah Kennedy, Outdoor Experience Ranger with the National Trust’s West Dorset team, and Caz Richards, who is the volunteer manager of the festival, have a busy weekend planned.
Food and drink
Over 60 stall holders serve up a mouth-watering array of locally made artisan bread, preserves, tea, coffee, beer, cider, wine, cheese, chocolate, cakes, charcuterie, fish and meat.
You can also browse and buy a selection of products from local craftsmen and artists, while live music and family entertainment add to the laid back festival feel.
We highly recommend that you come with a good supply of cash. Our amazing producers and exhibitors have so many great things to buy and the signal for card machines and technology is intermittent and very limited here. All our exhibitors take cash.
We appreciate that dogs are part of the family too so we don’t mind you bringing along your pooch, but as an event with food and children it is essential that you pick up your poop and keep your dog under close control. Dogs will not be allowed into the Main Food Marquee, with the exception of Assistance Dogs.
Open on both days from 10am-4pm. Free parking for National Trust members at Hive Beach. £2 entry per person including National Trust members, under 12s are free (all money raised is spent on conservation work at local National Trust sites.)
