February half-term fun

Three children playing in a den

Looking for ideas to entertain the little ones during February half-term? Make the most of the school break at Cherryburn with events on every weekday of the holiday – that'll keep them busy! Each event is a drop-in activity between 11am and 3pm. The events are free but normal admission charges apply.

Monday – Art day

Follow in the footsteps of Thomas Bewick and make your own masterpiece.

Tuesday – Bird watching

Let’s see how many of our feathery friends we can spot at Cherryburn.

Wednesday – Den building

Head to the wild garden and make a den. Will yours be the biggest?

Thursday – Printing fun

Get creative and learn about the wonderful art of printing.

Friday – Fable Friday

Bring a blanket, get comfy, and join us to hear some of Aesop’s Fables, and learn why this year is a celebration.

Plus, have an adventure on the bat trail, a free self-led trail that takes you all around the grounds. The trail is suitable for little legs, too. There will also be games on the lawn for you to enjoy, and a mini tractor that's perfect for tots to scoot round on.

If hungry bellies need filling, head indoors to the cafe where there’s a selection of cakes and scones, and children’s books are also available to borrow and cosy up with by the fire.
