The National Trust was founded in 1895 by three remarkable volunteers, and thanks to them our vision to care for special places for ever for everyone is very much alive today.
Roles and opportunities
Crom is the perfect place for wildlife and nature enthusiasts - the 2,000 acre estate is one of the most important nature conservation areas in Ireland, and you have the opportunity to work alongside our Ranger team to learn more about the importance of conserving special places like Crom. Get involved in hands on activities on the estate as well as the more out of the ordinary tasks like bat and bird surveys- you never know what kind of creatures you may meet along the way.
Our volunteers are also heavily involved in our programme of events throughout the year - previous roles have included everything from giving tours of Lough Erne on a 100 year old cot to judging egg and spoon races!
