'Percy at 30' at Dunham Massey

Percy the Park Keeper on Wall

Join us in celebrating Percy the Park Keepers 30th anniversary at Dunham Massey this year. From Friday 1 March join Percy and his woodland friends in a series of interactive trails and events based on Nick Butterworth’s classic character.

One Springy Day takes you on an interactive trail around the garden to discover the work does that Percy the Park Keeper and his friends do to look after the natural landscape. The fox is playing hide-and-seek and has a great hiding place in Percy’s workshop, but has found himself in an embarrassingly sticky situation. He’s covered in glue and all of Percy’s tools have stuck to him! Families can join Percy, the badger, squirrels, rabbits and other woodland friends to help track down the fox and the missing tools.

Percy the Park Keeper on Wall

Join the squirrel to help the gardeners find the gloves they need to plant their delicate saplings, the rabbits have lost their carrots, and the badger and other woodland friends need your help to find the builders missing toolbox. Don't forget to get your trail map stamped at each point!

Continue your adventure in the park and explore the landscape that Percy and the rangers help to look after. Discover the animals that call Dunham Massey home, and see how nature thrives in the messy areas of dead wood and trees. Think about how your favourite animal looks, sounds and moves and show off your best impressions!

Visit the house and try to discover all of the foxes best hiding places as he plays hide and seek with Percy and his animal friends. Maybe you'll catch a glimpse of a fox tail or two?
