Dr Who at Dyffryn Gardens
The house and gardens have been used in several episodes of Dr Who over the years, if you're a fan see how many places you can recognise on your next visit.
Dowload our garden map at the bottom of the page and find the filming locations in the gardens and house.
Locations in this series were the Paved Court and Pompeiian garden, No. 17 and No. 15.
Girl in the Fireplace and Tooth and Claw were filmed on the Vine Walk and balustrades at the south end of the Great Lawn, see No. 11 and No.25 on the map.
The Blue and Red Drawing rooms were also used in the house, No. 28 on the map.
Deep Breath was filmed in the Pompeiian Garden and features Missy dancing around the fountain, No. 15. Silence in the Library and Forrest of the Dead were filmed on the north side of the house, this is the main entrance side of the house No. 28.
Kerblam! was filmed and aired in 2018 and also featured Bradley Walsh, Mandip Gill and Tosin Cole. It was filmed on the Rock Garden and Archery Lawn, No. 6 and No. 8 on the map.
Also filmed at Dyffryn
We have also featured in Torchwood and the Sarah Jane Adventures.
Torchwood featured interior and exterior shots of the house and the walled gardens in the episode Something Borrowed No. 28 and No. 24 on the map.
Sarah Jane Adventures featured the house heavily, No. 28 on the map. The bird wallpaper in the Morning Room was put in for this production and can still be seen today, it is a replica of a 1890s print so fits with the time period of the house.
