Not long now...

Whilst checking the roof of Brownsman cottage we heard Arctic Terns overhead and looking up we saw them squawking down at us as they surveyed their nesting areas.

They have not settled yet but 103 were present in the Inner group roost count Today. The Sandwich Terns are back on the Inner Farne and they are displaying daintily to one another in the central meadow. At the beginning of the week Staple Island gave us our First glimpses of turquoise eggs peaking out from under slightly rounder looking Guillemots, we will be looking out for the chicks later this month.
