Here are some answers to the most frequently asked questions about Ismore campsite.

Who can stay at the site?

Anyone.  If young people are staying then a supervising adult over 18 must be on site or they must be under the general supervision of a Duke of Edinburgh scheme.

Are there shower and toilet facilities?

We have no showers but we do have two composting toilets, a hand basin and standpipe.

Where is the nearest food shop?

The Crosshouses garage (SY5 6EY) or the Coop on Wenlock road (SY2 6LG) both approx. 3 miles away

Where is the nearest pub/restaurant?

There are pubs and restaurants in the nearest villages of Atcham (Mytton and Mermaid 1 mile) and the Wroxeter hotel (Half a mile).  Plenty more slightly further afield. 

Where is the nearest bank?

Shrewsbury or Telford for a bank.  Post office in Cross houses (SY5 6EY) under 3 miles away. Nearest hole in the wall at Sainsburys local (SY2 6AZ) approximately 4 miles away.

Do you take bookings?

Yes, we only take advance bookings. 

Do you accept dogs?

Yes, dogs are accepted - However, please be aware that you are staying in a farmed landscape with stock, please keep them on a lead at all times.  

Where are some good walks for families?

This is principally a campground for those doing multi day canoe trips down the river Severn. It would also make a good (though simple) base to explore Shropshire.

Where is the nearest town or village?

Shrewsbury or Telford are the nearest settlements with a full range of facilities

Where is the nearest bus stop?

Arriva buses: Service 96 from SY5 6PJ under a mile away. Service 81 from SY5 6QH approx. a mile away. Both connect Shrewsbury to Telford.

Do you accept trailer tents/caravans/campervans?

No

Are you open all year round?

Yes

Can I have a fire or barbecue?

Campfires are permitted using the fire pits provided.

Can under 18s stay at the site?

Bookings may only be taken from people aged 18 or over. Anyone staying on the site under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult or be part of a supervised Duke of Edinburgh scheme.
