Improving Wembury Beach access

Wembury in South Devon is a great beach and more, with some of the best rock pools in the country, good surfing, masses of wildlife and views over to the Great Mewstone.

Enriching our lives

What if you couldn’t access the coast or see the sea? Feeling the stillness or power of the ocean, watching seabirds soar, enjoying a picnic on a sandy beach, or being perched on a coastal clifftop gazing out across the water to distant horizons - these are just some of life’s precious moments. Places cared for by the National Trust inspire us, calm us and even invigorate us. And if we want our coast to keep enriching lives long into the future, we need to take care of it now.
This year the National Trust also want to raise £21,000 to enable them to improve access for buggy and wheelchair users, by creating a less steep path through the river valley down to the beach.
Our coast has the power to enhance lives. It costs £3,000 a year to look after a mile of coast for millions of people to access, enjoy and cherish. The National Trust is a conservation charity that cares for over 300 miles of coast across the South West. By giving a donation, however small to the National Trust you’ll helping make sure our coast enriches the lives of current and future generations.
