Wembury Trail for families

Coast path explorers Wembury trail

Check out these great Coast Path Explorer Trails for families at Wembury. Produced by the South West Coast Path you can choose either the East or West route.

The South West Coast Path have designed two fun trails for children to follow from Wembury Beach car park. You can take the Wembury Trail - West, an easy, flat, one-mile walk that hugs the shoreline and heads towards Heybrook bay. On the way you can collect six rubbings and discover interesting information about the Mewstone, cirl buntings and the resident crabs.

Head in the other direction and try the Wembury Trail - East a one and half-mile walk and enjoy a short climb and stroll to Warren Point. On the way collect another six rubbings and look out for the Peregrine Falcon and rabbits or imagine yourself as smuggler trying to outwit the coast guard along this old smuggling trail.

Both trails are free. All you will need to bring with you is some paper and pencils to do the rubbings along the way. If you are short of time, then just do as many as you can.
