Guild of Spinners, Weavers and Dyers come to Flatford

The Guild of Spinners, Weavers and Dyers come to Flatford

Visit Flatford most Wednesdays, Sundays and on special occasions, such as Christmas, to see John and Stella, who are members of the Guild of Spinners, Weavers and Dyers. They demonstrate the hobby of Spinning and Weaving using rare breed fleeces. The connection to spinning at Flatford Mill is around the process of providing the yarn that was needed by the weavers to produce the cloth that would go through the Fulling process in the mill.

Make a bird feeder from recycled materials

Winter can be a tough time of year for birds, so why not give them a helping hand, with these three easy-to-make bird feeders? What’s great about them is that they’re all made from recycled materials - a plastic bottle, toilet roll or chipped cup.

Flatford Second Hand Books

Flatford Book Nook

Flatford's second-hand book nook is a great spot to pick up a bargain and help support our conservation work. Books are sold at bargain prices and all proceeds go towards a worthy cause. We are always on the look-out for books to add to our stock. If you are in need of a home for your old books we'll be pleased to have them.
