Each of our special places in Fermanagh has its own unique set of 50 Things activities, so every time you visit each of our places, your little ones will have something new to discover and explore!

No. 4: Build a den

Pick up some branches, twigs and leaves and get started on making a home for the bugs and furry friends of Florence Court.  Why not build a big den just for you?

No. 5: Skim a stone

Florence Court has a number of areas to skim stone, including the Ipper and Lower ponds and the Eel House bridge in the Pleasure Grounds! 

No. 9. Eat a picnic in the wild

The forest park is the perfect place to enjoy a family picnic, pack a rug and set off on an adventure to find the best picnic spot in Florence Court. 

No. 14: Dam a stream

Turn a stream in to a pond by making a dam! Wedge big rocks or sticks near the middle of your dam to make it super strong. Then pack the gaps with smaller stones and twigs to make it watertight. Pond, here we come!#

Pick up a map from the Visitor Centre and start exploring the miles of trails. Can you can find the Kitchen Garden? It’s the perfect spot to see all that grows at Florence Court. Keep your eyes peeled this summer for fun-packed activities in the Kitchen Garden as part of the restoration project.

No. 4: Build a den

Pick up some branches, twigs and leaves and make your way to the Beech Walk (the perfect spot to start building)! Can you spot our big own den? Builds yours beside it or add some twigs to ours to make a giant home for wildlife!

Ready for a biking adventure in the great outdoors? Explore more of the woodland trails and Lake Walk at Castle Coole, spotting and identifying wildlife along the way

No. 31: Make friends with a bug

What’s the creepiest crawly you can find? Pick up a tracker pack in the shop and get started on your big bug hunt!

No. 33: Go cloud watching

The lawn at the front of the house at Castle Coole is the perfect spot to relax and watch the clouds from below, all in the stunning backdrop of Castle Coole, don't forget to pack a picnic!

No: 38. Bring up a butterfly

Our special places are home to a range of wildlife, thanks to our ongoing conservation work. See if you can catch a butterfly and release it back into the wild.

Why stay in a boring bed when you can sleep outside under the stars at Crom?  Can you identify where all these nature sounds are coming from?

No. 4: Build a den

Gather some branches, twigs and leaves and start building a home for the wildlife of Crom!

How many fish can you find? Pick up a pond dipping kit from the Visitor Centre and get exploring the underworld at Crom.

No: 30. Go on a scavenger hunt

Bring along your own items for the perfect place for a scavenger hunt, or hire one of our geocaching devices from the Visitor Centre.

No: 49. Watch the sunset

Watch the sunset on the stunning Fermangh Lakelands after a long day on your adventure, get some rest, its time to do more epxloring tomorrow!
