Top 5 autumn family activities at Glendurgan
There's lots of fun things to do at this time of year in the garden.
Here's our top 5 activities for families to enjoy this autumn.
1. Decorate a woodland crown (from 21 - 29 October excluding Monday 23 October)
This is an activity for the whole family to do on a walk around the garden. Who will create the best crown in your family?
2. Visit the small School Room
This little building has lovely views down the valley. Look out for the small slates to find out more about the history of this quirky building.
3. Go wildlife spotting
You can spot a variety of wildlife on an autumn walk. Look out for the buzzard soaring high above the garden or the squirrels climbing among the trees. What will you see on your visit?
You can spend hours exploring the many different paths in the garden and discovering all the different features. Can you find your way to the Bamboo Bridge or spot the unusual boat seat and who will be the first to reach the maze viewing platform?
5. Warm up by the woodburner
On colder days, the woodburners will be lit in the garden entrance, cafe and Durgan Fish Cellar information room. After a walk through the garden, you can warm up by the fire. Why not treat yourselves to a hot chocolate and slice of homemade cake at Glendurgan Tea House as well?
