What's on

Visitors walking through a garden in spring

Visiting this spring

Our gardens, parks and countryside locations are open to visit. Shops are also open and outdoor seating is available at some cafés. Subject to government confirmation, we're planning to reopen houses in England and Wales from 17 May, and in Northern Ireland from 24 May. Advance booking for visits helps us keep everyone safe and socially distanced. When space is available, particularly on weekdays, pre-booking isn't always necessary. But to guarantee entry, please always book in advance, especially at busier times like weekends and bank holidays. Please check the property webpage before you visit and follow government guidance.

Things to see and do

A formal pond and statue with reflections, surrounded by tree and a blue sky

The gardens at Goddards

Discover the five acres of garden rooms of the former Terry family home with views over York racecourse towards the iconic Terry factory clock tower. The small space has formal areas of lawn, ponds and herbaceous borders, surrounded by mature trees and a wildlife area. See what's growing in the orchard and small vegetable garden - you can imagine living here and making the most of this pocket of green.

Accessible parking at Goddards

Car parking at Goddards is limited to accessible parking for visitors. You can use the drop off point or there are nearby places to leave your car. The garden is well served by York's bus service and it's a pleasant walk or bike ride from any direction as we're so close to the racecourse.
