Shopping at Goddards
It might be Terry’s but now it can also be yours…if you buy it from the small yet select gift range in the house.
Welcome to the shop
Part of the charm of Goddards is the relatively small size of the house and the real feel of a family home, however we know many visitors enjoy a browse around a National Trust shop as part of their day out. So you can pick up some lovely gifts in the retail area on the ground floor.
What to expect
At Goddards we celebrate locally made products, with tasty preserves from Fruity Kitchen and indulgent chocolate bars with intriguing flavours by Choc Affair. Read about Terry’s chocolate production in ‘The Story of Terry’s’, researched and written by York oral historian Van Wilson who interviewed both factory workers and family to give a rare insight into the workings of one of Britain’s most famous chocolate firms.
Send a postcard home after your visit or pick up a traditional wooden toy made by local wood turner Peter Camus as a gift for a special little person.
