The site offers many useful amenities including laundry and showers making it the perfect base from which to explore the many footpaths and cycle routes which connect us to nearby riverside towns and villages.

Situated in the pretty Cambridgeshire village of Houghton, Waterclose Meadows benefits from its tranquil setting alongside the National Trust`s Houghton Mill with its picturesque millpond and tearoom.

The surrounding countryside and river walks can be accessed straight from the site and we are just a short walk away from several shops and country pubs. There is also a regular bus service from the village to Cambridge and Huntingdon.

The pitches

  • Grass pitches – the majority with electric hook up - no hardstanding
  • 50 caravan/motorhome pitches (max length 8 metres) Motorhome, caravan and campervan and trailer tents pitches are 8x5 metres.
  • Access to the campsite is narrow so please observe the arrival and departure times
  • Pitches are allocated on arrival and although we cannot guarantee individual specific pitch requests, if you add requests to your booking, our team will do their very best to accommodate you.
