Helston Lodge is right on the water’s edge at the head of Loe Pool, Cornwall’s largest natural lake. The former gate lodge commands an outstanding view over the Loe and its wooded banks, making it a perfect lakeside stay.

Discover the stunning scenery at Penrose on foot or bike along one of the many footpaths and bridleways. If you’re a keen birdwatcher, you’re in for a treat, with lots of rare species in the area. A walk along the lake will take you to Loe Bar Beach, a half-mile long sand and shingle bank that seperates the Loe from the sea.

Helston town and Porthleven, the most southerly working port in Great Britain, are both within two miles of the cottage, with pubs, cafés and shops. Further afield, explore the estate at Godolphin, with its historic house and garden. The money raised from your stay at Helston Lodge helps us to maintain this beautiful estate for years to come.
