Tucked away down a leafy footpath is this romantic, one-bedroom hideaway. A thatched roof, traditional stone exterior and a small garden add to its chocolate-box charm. You could just escape, pull up a chair and snuggle by its stove for a few hours or even days.

But don’t get too comfortable, as there are cliffs, creeks, footpaths, estuaries, headlands, woods and beaches to explore nearby.

You’ll have the Roseland Peninsula at your feet with Towan Beach a minutes’ walk away and on your doorstep are a network of paths to lead you around the nearby creeks and woodland. The South West Coast Path will take you south to St Anthony Head with its history, secret beaches, bird hide and open views over to Falmouth or north to the old fishing village of Portscatho, where you can wanderaround the shops and indulge in a classic pub lunch. Head to nearby Trellisick gardens on board the King Harry Ferry from St Mawes. Your stay at Penhaligon's helps us look after the surrounding area and special places in our care.

For larger groups holidaying together, Penhaligon's is close to Roseland Porth Farm Cottage, Roseland Porth Farm House, Towan Cottage and Roseland Porth Barn.
