Porth has been a farming settlement for hundreds of years, and this stone and slate barn was lovingly converted once it was no longer in use by the farm. It now makes the perfect stay for a Cornish beach holiday, with sandy Towan Beach only a five-minute walk away. It’s well worth waking up early to see the sun rise over the sea on a morning stroll.

The rest of the Roseland peninsula is right on the doorstep – an unspoilt landscape of cliffs, creeks, woods and beaches that’s rich in wildlife all year round. Must-see spots include the rock pool haven at Porthcurnick Beach and the secret coves of St Anthony Head. For shops, pubs and art galleries, head to Portscatho, a 10-minute drive away, or the harbour village St Mawes, where you can catch a ferry to Falmouth.

You’ll have free entry during opening hours to Trelissick, a 30-minute drive away, and other National Trust places while you stay at the cottage.

Roseland Porth Barn can be booked along with neighbouring cottages, Roseland Porth Farm Cottage (sleeps five), Roseland Porth Farm House (sleeps five) and Towan Cottage (sleeps three) and Penhaligon's (sleeps two), for groups of up to 21 guests.
