About Hafod y Llan CampsiteLocated in the stunning Nant Gwynant valley in the midst of the Snowdonia National Park.
Hafod y Llan is a basic, family-friendly campsite with a wide-range of facilities including hot showers, toilet blocks, camp fires, a tumble dryer and a small car park.
The National Trust acquired Hafod y Llan in 1998 through public donations.This diverse landscape is a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI), and covers an area of 4000 acres including a National Nature Reserve and a working farm, which is sensitively grazed.
Hafod y Llan is the ideal place to explore this stunning corner of north Wales. Situated next to the Cwm Llan river at the base of Snowdon, Wales' tallest mountain, and close to the Watkin Path which can be directly accessed from the campsite. The pretty village of Beddgelert is a leisurely three mile stroll away and has shop, post office and pub.
With countless waterfalls, wooded valleys and quaint towns and villages, the area around the campsite is the perfect place to escape from the hustle and bustle.

On 26 May 2021, the Welsh Government issued a statement urging anyone planning a break in Wales from an area with higher rates of coronavirus to test themselves twice weekly, using the free Covid-19 lateral flow tests, before they travel. Only those who have a negative test result and no symptoms of coronavirus should travel. Everyone coming to Wales from areas with a higher rates of coronavirus should bring lateral flow testing kits with them to continue regular testing while on holiday.

Notes for guests
There are 35 simple grass pitches.
We do not have size restrictions on tents.
There are campfires for which you can buy bundles of wood for £7 per bag.
Parking spaces are limited so if driving to the site please car share.
Group bookings can only be accepted from scout and D of E groups.
