The National Trust acquired Hafod y Llan in 1998 through public donations. This diverse landscape is a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI), and covers an area of 4000 acres including a National Nature Reserve and a working farm, which is sensitively grazed.

Hafod y Llan is the ideal place to explore this stunning corner of north Wales. Situated next to the Cwm Llan river at the base of Snowdon, Wales' tallest mountain, and close to the Watkin Path which can be directly accessed from the campsite.
