About Hardwick Hall Stable Yard
Stay on the Hardwick estate in this restored stable yard building.Elizabethan property, Hardwick Hall Stable Yard stands at the heart of the Hardwick Hall estate. It was formerly the estate’s Brewhouse and still retains some sixteenth-century details.
The two large holiday homes boasts an elegant décor complete with high ceilings, luxury furnishings and a roll top bath. There’s also a private walled garden with dining furniture.
As a guest you’re invited to explore the gardens, main house and Stainsby Mill free of charge. You’ll also have 2,500 acres of parkland, woodland and farmland on your doorstep. And if you don’t want to leave your canine companion at home, the cottage and parklands are dog-friendly.
Explore a little further afield and visit other historic properties in under an hours drive, including Chatsworth House, Kedleston Hall and Clumber Park. You’ll also be within a 30 minute drive to the outskirts of the Peak District.

These cottages all have slightly different features and facilities, but those listed are present in at least one of the cottages in the group.
These cottages are perfect for a group holiday where guests can also enjoy their own space. There is an interconnecting door between these cottages, please note however that there may not be enough seating for the whole party in the communal areas.

Second floor: through landing with sofa leading to three bedrooms (1 single, 1 twin and 1 double bedroom with 5' bed).

Occupancy: When 12 people occupy 6 High Hazel, one person will need to use the sofa bed situated in the sitting room on the ground floor.
Parking: There is parking for 5 cars in the stable courtyard.
Garden: There is an enclosed garden laid to lawn.
Catering: For ease during your stay, the team at Hardwick Hall can provide an evening meal on arrival or during your holiday for you to enjoy from the Great Barn Restaurant. The food will be delivered to the holiday cottage and left in the fridge for you to heat up. Pre-payment is to be settled with the Hardwick Hall property team when ordering, and should be arranged 1 week prior to arrival as the menu options are seasonal.
