The Rosetta Cottages are neighbours in a converted Victorian manor on the seafront at Cowes. You can walk into town and to the marina, and watch passing ships and yachts from your garden.

Mottistone Manor Farmhouse has spacious rooms and a large garden, so family and friends can enjoy a holiday together. Compton Bay is just a five-minute drive away. Dog friendly. Sleeps 14.
Three holiday cottages - Pomone, Irex and Varvassi - perch high on the cliffs above Alum Bay, surrounded by sea views, chalk cliffs and open downland. Spot migrating birds by day and meteor showers by night. Pomone sleeps four, and Irex and Varvassi each sleep five.
1 and 2 Compton Farm Cottages are a pair of former farmworker's cottages a short walk from Compton Bay, with views of chalky cliffs and grazing cows. They each sleep four guests.
From stone farm cottages to a converted club house and a rustic cabin, there are all sorts of holiday stays to choose from on the Isle of Wight.
Chert is in the quiet residential area of St Lawrence, high on a wooded cliff with a large balcony. In half an hour, you can walk to vibrant Ventnor, with its arts scene and independent cafés, bars and restaurants. Sleeps four. Next door, Little Chert is full of original retro features from the formica bathroom to the sleek wall bed. Sleeps two.
Longstone Cottage is a rural hideaway halfway up Mottistone Down. With a woodburner and heaters but limited power, it's a place to enjoy simple things - peace and quiet, walks from the door, valley views and stargazing. Dog friendly. Sleeps six.

For a surfing trip minus the crowds, head to the southern fringes of this small island. You can drive from one end to the other in less than an hour to scout for the best breaks.
