About Troytes Farmhouse

On the edges of Exmoor, this detached former farmhouse makes for a great countryside getaway.

Troytes is a large, detached farmhouse located on the Holnicote estate. Perfect for large groups, the holiday home benefits from a log burning stove, large garden and distant sea views. You’ll be on the fringes of Exmoor on the beautiful Holnicote estate, where miles of footpaths unfold.

Make the most of your countryside setting and spend the morning stomping through the undergrowth. Little ones will love searching for minnows in the stream. Delve a little deeper into the National Park and hike along the moors before stopping off at pretty village Selworthy.

With sea all around, it would be criminal not to visit the coast. Make the short 30 minute drive to the Victorian resorts of Lynton and Lynmouth. While you’re there, take a ride on the iconic cliff railway.

About the Acorn rating

We have applied a 1-5 acorn rating to each cottage to be used only as a guide that covers location, style of interior and facilities you may be looking for. The range runs from 1 Acorn at a more basic level such as Bird How which due to its stunning yet remote location doesn’t have a caretaker through to 5 Acorns at the highest level – such as Shute Barton.

Cottage pricing is not judged on the Acorn rating alone and as all our cottages are of an individual nature we recommend that all factors are considered when making your choice.
