About Cider making

Help the rangers produce award-winning Killerton cider.

Help the rangers to harvest over 50 different varieties of apple from the traditionally managed orchards. Using our early nineteenth-century press, see the process from tree to juice. Sampling of last year’s batch is a must! Cider-making is very rewarding and interesting; however, it does involve a considerable amount of lifting and bending, from collecting the apples by hand, to lifting bags of apples and moving pulp into the press.
