Autumn at Houghton Mill
Autumn is a wonderful time to visit Houghton Mill, whether you enjoy walking through the changing colours, watching flour being freshly milled or are looking for a tranquil stay on the campsite.
Explore a traditional water mill
Every Sunday afternoon until the end of the season you can experience the sights, sounds and smells of a traditional working flour mill as volunteer millers produce fresh flour using the 18th century mill’s machinery and production methods.
Enjoy the changing Autumn colours along one of the many paths and waterways that lead from Houghton Mill. There are short strolls for little legs from the other side of the mill pond, or longer walks and cycle routes to the Hemingfords, Godmanchester and beyond for the more active.
Escape into nature
Enjoy the last of the bright mornings and cooler evenings from Waterclose Meadows campsite. Bring your tent, caravan, motorhome or stay in a camping pod at our tranquil and friendly riverside campsite.
