School holidays at Ightham Mote

A girl crouching on the ground playing hide and seek

There's plenty of fun in store during the Kent school holidays at Ightham Mote. As well as our natural play area, house quizzes and trails, look out for our special 'Themed Thursdays' and other special events.

October half-term: Sat 21 - Sun 29 October 2017

There's spooky goings on this half-term as giant spider webs appear in the garden. Will you be brave enough to follow the trail? On Thursday 26 October join us in the Squire's Room for a spider's web craft.

What you've missed

Easter Holidays: Sat 1 April - Mon 17 April 2017

Spring is well under way and we've got a bug hunting trail for you to complete. Don't forget our Themed Thursdays with a Metallic Beetle craft on 6 April and on 13 April, John Wiltshire returns for another art workshop.

The end of the holidays our Cadbury Easter Egg Hunt returns, from Fri 14 - Mon 17 April.

Spring half-term: Sat 27 May - Sun 4 June 2017

We've got a special trail this half-term, with Angelina and Henry (50p). Follow them round the garden as they take you on their camping adventure, and see what 50 things you can tick off. We are also excited to announce a story-telling workshop with illustrator Helen Craig and children's author Adele Geras on Thurs 1 June (£5) - booking is essential as places are limited. There will be other activities on the day in case you can't join in the workshop.

Summer holidays: Sat 22 July - Sun 3 September 2017

In addition to the house trails, garden explorer map and our natural play area, we have a trail running thoughout the garden.
