Llanbedrog beach huts
Llanbedrog beach has been a popular destination with visitors flocking here since 1890, when a tramway was built connecting the village to Pwllheli. The tramway has since gone, but the tradition of beach huts, linked to those early Victorian tourists, remains.
There are usually 70 colourful beach huts lining the shore at Llanbedrog beach during the summer.
How do I book a beach hut for next year?
Download the booking form (PDF / 0.0673828125MB) download and submit by email between 1 September - 31 December. We cannot guarantee that you will have the same hut as in previous years, however if you specify a number on your application form we will try our best to allocate you to the requested hut. Huts will be allocated on a first come first served basis based on the date the booking form is received.
When will the beach huts be ready?
The beach huts were available for use from 15 May – 10 September for the 2021 season. The dates for 2022 season will be confirmed in spring 2022.
Why aren’t the beach huts available for longer or all year?
We need to be careful to avoid potential damage by any early or late seasonal storms and high tides. Therefore, the season dates vary slightly each year, depending on the long-range weather forecast and tide forecast. The huts are removed and stored in the car park each winter, for their safekeeping.
Can I book a beach hut for a week?
We only hire out the beach huts for the full season and do not offer daily, weekly or monthly bookings.
How much does it cost to book a beach hut for the season?
It costs £450 to hire a beach hut for the 2022 season. Due to the costs associated with maintenance, moving the beach huts and administration of licences, the fee is non-refundable.
